The round ingot bears the hallmark of the Swiss foundry "ESSAYEUR FONDEUR", along with the weight and purity.
The obverse design on the round demonstrates the celestial vault and the moon crescent, featuring in some combination form the basis of symbols widely found across the ancient world. This is the symbol of Islam or the Muslim community today. On the bottom we have the inscriptions "1 oz. Au 999.9" confirming the weight, the metal and the fineness of the metal, followed by the three Swiss hallmarks: Founder/Assayer - Engraver – and the Swiss Bullion Corp Responsibility Mark. Finally the year 2013 from the lunar calendar.
The reverse design. In the center, a calligraphy of Eid Mubarak. This is a traditional Muslim greeting reserved for use on the festivals of Eid ul-Adha and Eid ul-Fitr. Eid refers to the occasion itself, and Mubarak means "Blessed." This exchange of greetings is a cultural tradition and not part of any religious obligation. Around the calligraphy, a traditional geometric figure representing the Doors of Jannah, the eight doors to Heaven in the Islamic tradition.
